Scientology Volunteer Ministers European Goodwill Tour

The Churches of Scientology of Europe and the Scientology Volunteer Ministers of each of the countries of Europe are participating in a goodwill tour through areas where there are no Scientology churches, to make the help of the Scientology religion available to anyone who wants to use it to improve their lives.

The tour has gone to Latvia and Lithuania so far.

There are similar tours in Bostwana, India and Brazil.

Remembering Two Years Ago

Two years ago, after the yearly celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the International Association of Scientologists International, Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of Religions Technology Center (RTC) came to Copenhagen where he addressed the crew of AOSH EU and the Continental Liaison Office for Europe (CLO EU) - which is the group of Scientology executives responsible for the management for Scientology organizations and activities in Europe.

It was a real treat getting to see Mr. Miscavige in person. He is almost always present at the international events that are heald several times a year, such as L. Ron Hubbard's birthday celebration where Mr. Miscavige is usually the emcee and is also sometimes the keynote speaker, but seeing him in person was even better.

He is a real inspiration, not just because of his dedication but because of how much he cares, and because the expansion of Scientology thorughout the world is in no small measure due to the fact that as COB of RTC he keeps Scientology being practiced exactly as L. Ron Hubbard intended. And when this is done you can really help people with Scientology.

And that's the only reason any of us are here!

Why Copenhagen?

The Advanced Organization and Saint Hill for Europe (AOSH EU) is in Copenhagen.

What a beautiful city this is. Clean, friendly and with a stellar record of religious freedom.

During World War II it was from Copenhagen that thousands or Jews were smuggled out of Europe. The King himself put on a yellow armband with the Star of David in protest against the Nazi anti-Jewish measures.

So what better place to have the European center for the Scientology religion?

AOSH hosted a very interesting event earlier this year, that is covered in the Scientology Effective Solutions web site today. To quote:

The Hungarian edition of Freedom Magazine recently published an article on the formation of the European Foundation for Human Rights and Tolerance in response to the growing need for dialogue and mutual cooperation to resolve these and other issues facing minority populations in Europe.

Freedom columnist Zoltan Grozli reports on the formation of this new foundation at the European headquarters of the Scientology religion in Copenhagen, where more than 250 religious leaders, scholars, human rights advocates and members of government joined to accomplish the stated aim of the new foundation: to reverse the trend of religious and racial discrimination currently manifested through repressive legislation or administrative decrees in several nations of Europe.

One thing I really love about the Scientology religion is the attention Scientologists have on helping others, like the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, for example. I think what happens is that once a person starts to make progress in Scientology and regains self-respect and self-confidence it's a natural progression to start having more attention on how other people are doing. And when you look around and see how much despair and stress there is around you, you naturally want to help, knowing that you know how to help with the tools you learn in Scientology.

I'm quite sure I learned more of use in helping people and doing something worthwhile in life in just studying the Scientology Handbook and doing courses for each of the chapters in the book than I learned in 4 years of University (at which I was an "excellent" student).

AOSHEU -Training and Counseling Scientologists Throughout Europe

Due to the unique nature of the Scientology Advanced Organization and Saint Hill in Europe, (AOSH EU) in that it is where all European Scientologists go for advanced training and counselling, there is a very interesting feel to this church. At any time you can hear 5, 10, 20 languages being spoken.

Take for example when there is an international event (about 5 times a year Scientology churches and missions all around the world hold events for all their members.) Usually David Miscavige Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center, takes the opportunity to share with all Scientologists our progress in accomplishing our humanitarian goals, such as activities being done by Scientology Volunteer Ministers, and the work being done to alleviate suffering on the part of people who are victimized by drug addiction, illiteracy and crime. Mr. Miscavige always speaks in English. So how does this work when there are people from all over Europe at AOSHEU?

The answer is that these events get translated into the language of every country where there is a national church of Scientology churches we have a graduation where people who have completed courses or major counseling services are acknowledged and given certificates. At AOSH EU we have to have simultaneous translation of the speeches that are made. One time when I was at a Graduation at AOSHEU there was one executive of the church who did the simultaneous translation of 5 different languages one right after another.

So AOSHEU not only has the special ambiance that Scientology churches are known for all over the world -- that special friendliness, warmth, care – but it also it has the cosmopolitan atmosphere of a true world center, where people from all over can come and be helped, and learn to help others.

The only place comparable is the church of Scientologists from anywhere on Earth eventually go for the most advanced levels of auditing.
